FACEIT has rolled out a February update with significant improvements focused on anti-cheat measures, account verification, and quality-of-life features for users.
Anti-Cheat Enhancements
The biggest change comes with improvements to FACEIT’s Anti-Cheat (AC) system, including the detection of Direct Memory Access (DMA) cheats. This update strengthens the platform’s ability to identify sophisticated cheating methods, ensuring a fair competitive environment. FACEIT has also addressed misleading rumors about cheaters bypassing its system, clarifying that the majority of claims are false or involve cheats on non-FACEIT servers.
Verified Accounts and Match Integrity
FACEIT continues its push for fairer matches by tightening its account verification system. Over 2,000 accounts were stripped of their verification badges due to abuse, and with over 1 million verified players, the system is proving effective in reducing smurfs and fraudulent accounts.
Queue Pause and Matchmaking Improvements
Premium users now have the ability to adjust matchmaking settings during a queue pause without losing their place in line. Additional updates improve matchmaking visibility and fix bugs that affected queue times in specific regions.
Profile and Chat Updates
Profile pages now highlight newly earned badges, and the chat system allows players to mention others with @user, along with improvements in image handling and voice connection indicators.
FACEIT Watch and Highlights
FACEIT Watch users can now share highlights directly with a link, and FPL clips now include voice comms. The overall user interface has been refined for a smoother experience.
This update reflects FACEIT’s continued efforts to provide a secure, competitive, and user-friendly environment for its players.
