Monday night Valve replaced Train with the new map Ancient in their new update for the game.

The shuffling of the map pool was anticipated by the community, but Ancient was not on the top of the list of maps to be included. But now it is here, so let’s dig into the new map.

Name: Ancient

Added to CS:GO: December 3rd 2020 – Put in the competetive map pool March 3rd, 2021.

Because of its similarity to the map de_aztec and because the textures and props in the source code were named after de_aztec, it can be assumed that Ancient is a kind of unofficial remake of Aztec.
