Falcons’ campaign at the BLAST.tv Austin Majo came to a bitter end last night, after a thrilling battle against MIBR.
With their 1-3 finish in Stage 2, the Saudi-backed lineup ends the tournament in 20th-22nd place. That marks the worst placement at a Counter-Strike Major in the careers of all five Falcons players.
Until now, none of them had ever finished below 15th-16th at a Major.

The team entered Austin as one of the contenders to take down the big favourites from Vitality, coming fresh off a string of deep playoff runs at IEM Melbourne, BLAST Rivals and IEM Dallas.
But a lacklustre showing in Texas saw Falcons go out in brutal fashion after losses to B8, Lynn Vision and MIBR.
For a squad that came in aiming for the trophy, the result is a historic low, and one they’ll be eager to bounce back from.
