The CIS team is on an eight-match win-streak and has found incredible momentum at IEM Katowice. Having defeated Cloud9, BIG, G2, and Heroic it was expected that the Russian team would suffer a defeat to Astralis in the Group A final. After having lost the first map everything pointed in that direction, but in a remarkable turn around Team Spirit completely stunned Astralis to claim the victory. And the way it happened on Dust2 left everybody in shock.
Team Spirit won Dust2 with 16-1 coming incredibly close to doing the impossible by defeating Astralis 16-0 for the first time in history.
Team Spirit and degster will play their next game on Saturday in the Semi-Finals at IEM Katowice.
