Degster-less OG, the renowned CS:GO team, faced an unfortunate start to their Showdown campaign as they were eliminated on the first day of the tournament. The team, missing their star player Degster, couldn’t hold their ground against Ninjas in Pyjamas in their opening match.
Nice effort from the team in those difficult circumstances but it wasn't enough.
See you all on Friday when we'll try to qualify for IEM Dallas, with a first game against… @NIPCS.

Despite winning the first map of the series, OG struggled to maintain its momentum and lost the following two maps. The absence of Degster, who is known for being the star player on the team, was felt by the team and may have contributed to their early elimination. With smooya as a stand-in for OG, the mixed European roster couldn’t keep up with NiP on the last two maps of the series. What looked like a close encounter on Vertigo ended in total domination from NiP who secure the win 16-8 after winning eight out of nine possible on the CT side. On Mirage, Ninjas in Pyjamas kept on pressing the speeder. With ten rounds on the T side, NiP was quick to close out the game by winning 16-6.
Shaky on Mirage, but turning it on for Vertigo and Overpass means that @Brollan and @NIPCS are on to the next round! ?#BLASTPremier @Maersk pic.twitter.com/jzFCPf1Qtp

In the second match of the day, Cloud9 faced off against Copenhagen Flames. As expected, Cloud9 emerged victorious, sweeping the series 2-0. The Russian squad looked dominant throughout the match, with their superior teamwork and individual skill.
Despite Copenhagen Flames’ valiant effort, they were simply outmatched by Cloud9’s top-tier play. Cloud9 will move on and face Ninjas in Pyjamas in the semi-finals.
Hot damn, @C9CSGO with @HObbitcsgo in this form is scary! ?
2-0 and they're on to the next round ?#BLASTPremier @Maersk pic.twitter.com/xLWYsglks3
