The first day of the ESL Pro League Season 17 playoffs was filled with excitement and anticipation as the top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams from around the world battled it out for a chance to advance to the next round.
The day began with two intense matches between some of the world’s best. The first match featured G2 vs. Movistar Riders, with G2 coming out on top dominating the Spanish roster in a 2-0 victory. The following match of the day saw FURIA take on Fnatic, with FURIA emerging victorious after a dominant performance.
The third match was between paiN and Liquid, which saw paiN come out on top to make the upset happen against the current number three on the HLTV world’s ranking list. Finally, the last match of the day was between Natus Vincere and 00NATION, with Natus Vincere pulling off an important win despite 00NATION taking the game into a third.
Overall, it was a day filled with high-level gameplay and intense competition. The four teams that advanced to the next round, G2, FURIA, paiN, and Natus Vincere, will have to continue to play at their best if they hope to make it to the grand finals and claim the EPL S17 title.
