GamerLegion will travel to IEM Dallas with a familiar face in their lineup, as they’ve confirmed that Frederik “acoR” Gyldstrand will stand in for the upcoming event.
The Danish AWPer steps in for Henrich “sl3nd” Hevesi, who was unable to secure a visa for the tournament in Texas despite the organization’s best efforts.
GamerLegion head coach Ashley “ash” Battye shared his thoughts on reuniting with the Danish sharpshooter:
– Freddie is a super-skilled player and someone who I really trust. I can feel he has that fire in him to prove himself again. Having a stand-in is always tough, but his experience will help us a lot at Dallas, ash said.
Familiar face returns
acoR is no stranger to GamerLegion, having previously played for the squad between 2022 and 2024. During that time, he was part of the team’s Cinderella story at the BLAST.tv Paris Major, where they reached the Grand Final before falling short against Vitality.
Since his departure, acoR had a brief stint with TSM and has been a free agent in recent months.
Tough field ahead
IEM Dallas kicks off next week and features a stacked lineup including Falcons, MOUZ, FaZe, and world No. 1 Vitality.
GamerLegion is placed in Group A and will open their campaign against 3DMAX in the first round of the double-elimination bracket.
