StarLadder has officially announced that it will host the second Counter-Strike 2 Major of 2025 in Budapest, Hungary, confirming an earlier report by Sheep Esports.
The tournament will run from November 24 to December 14, with the playoffs set to take place inside the 20,000-seat MVM Dome, one of the largest venues ever used for a CS Major.
The first three stages of the event, the Opening, Elimination, and Legends stages, will be played at MTK Sportpark, a smaller venue with a capacity for around 2,000 spectators. The playoffs will then move to the MVM Dome from December 11 to 14, marking the first time a CS2 Major will be held in Hungary.
The Budapest Major will be StarLadder’s second time hosting a Valve-sponsored Major, following the Berlin Major in 2019.
This event will feature 32 teams competing for a $1.25 million prize pool, making it one of the most significant events in the Counter-Strike calendar, and the final Major of 2025.
