It was with big expectations, that Complexity entered IEM Cologne. The team had been together in a 40-day bootcamp and had recently won their first tournament victory in 2021 with a trophy at Spring Sweet Spring 2.
RUSH: If we don’t show some results, I think there will be changes going forward
The team qualified for the main event, where they were paired with G2 in the opening round. A run in the lower brackets was needed after a loss, and it certainly looked good for Complexity in the match against Virtus.pro, where the team had won the first map and was 15-10 ahead on the second giving them five match points to seal the deal. But then everything fell apart. Not only did they lose the second map, but they also went on to crash out of the tournament in the last place after a loss on Overpass.
A spectacular loss that cemented the words, that Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke had expressed just a few days prior.
k0nfig: We are in a bad state right now
Yesterday the team announced the departure of their coach Jamie “keita” Hall.
Today, #COLCS and @keitaCSGO have mutually agreed to part ways.
Thank you for all the hard work and precious memories. We wish you the best of luck in the future ?#WeAreCOL pic.twitter.com/yGb6sSH50H

If that is the only change we are going to see on the Complexity roster, the question remains.
