The dominant CIS team Virtus.pro has just delivered one of the best comebacks in a long time, as they survived no more than 13 match points on Dust2, in the elimination match at ESL Pro League.
Virtus.pro looked completely done and dusted towards what looked like the end of the decider on Dust2. The score was 15-3 in the favour of ENCE, and everything pointed towards an ENCE victory. However, Jame and company thought different, as they established a stellar CT-defence that round after round dismantled ENCE’s T-side. The lead diminished slowly for ENCE, to eventually send the match into overtime.
In the deciding OT, the strong Russians showed their class and proved why they are placed within the Top 5 on the World Ranking. Through an insane clutch and no-scope by the captain and IGL, VP managed to secure the series by winning 19-17.
