BIG have decided to remove Alexander “⁠kakafu⁠” Szymanczyk from his position as head coach, the organization announced today.

The decision follows a rough start to 2025, with the German squad struggling to find form having delivering one lacklustre result after another.

Since the start of the season, BIG have lost 34 out of 59 total maps, a statistic that has now led the organization to take action and part ways with kakafu.

In a post on X, kakafu reflected on the decision:

– Sad news. I am happy that I got the chance to coach the best team in Germany BIG. I felt my time with the new time was too short. BIG will always be a part of me and everybody working in the organisation is giving their best.
