BIG, OG, and Virtus.pro miss out on IEM Cologne

The final lineup for the first big tournament of the second part of the season has been revealed.

The $1.000.000 tournament is set to start from July 25th to August 6th after the conclusion of the players’ break.

It is not known yet if IEM Cologne will be played on CS2 or the CS:GO platform. Yesterday ESL revealed all the teams, that are set to compete in Cologne. Here eight teams are directly qualified for the main tournament through their performances in 2023.

Before the start of the main event, there will once again be a play-in tournament, where 16 teams fight for eight spots in the main event. 15 teams have been found via the ESL World Ranking, while BIG Academy will take part in the tournament after winning the local ESL Meisterschaft Spring 2023 Finals. The main team from BIG missed out on the event with just two points on ESL’s ranking. Other notable teams that will not attend the tournament are Virtus.pro, OG, Complexity, Bad News Eagles.
