Valery “L3rich” Kharitonov, the owner of Aurora Gaming, has raised eyebrows after sharing what appears to be a massive sports bet on his public Telegram channel.
According to a screenshot posted on May 30, Kharitonov placed a $700,000 bet on Inter Milan to beat PSG in the UEFA Champions League final. The slip showed odds of 3.53, suggesting a potential return of just under $2.5 million if successful.
While it’s unclear whether the bet is genuine, Kharitonov hinted in the post that the outcome could help balance the books following Aurora’s high-profile signing of the full Turkish CS2 lineup earlier this year. It’s worth mentioning that Aurora’s main sponsor partner is the betting site 1xBET.
He didn’t confirm the transfer fee directly, citing an NDA, but joked: “Maybe thanks to this bet I’ll recoup it? Or maybe I won’t, who knows.”
The post also included a bold prediction: Hakan Çalhanoğlu to score from a free kick and Inter to win 1-0.
