Alejandro “alex” Masanet has joined Iberian Soul, the team announced on their social media channels.
The move reunites alex with his long-time teammates from his successful tenure with Movistar Riders.
The roster includes David “dav1g” Granado Bermudo, Alejandro “mopoz” Fernández-Quejo Cano, Pere “sausol” Solsona Saumell, and Renato “stadodo” Gonçalves — all players alex previously shared the server with during his time with the Spanish squad.
The Iberian project does not have an organization backing them yet.
Return to competition
The transfer marks alex’s return to competitive Counter-Strike after spending months on the sidelines.
The 29-year-old in-game leader was benched by NIP in September 2024 following an underwhelming stint with the Swedish organization.
alex’s time with NIP failed to live up to expectations, but his return to a lineup of familiar faces could be a turning point for the Spaniard.
