3DMAX reportedly set to bench rifler

The French team is set to demote Thomas “Djoko” Pavoni from the lineup, according to insider.

Less than a month into the new season, 3DMAX is already making changes to its roster.

According to insider Sébastien “KRL” Perez, the French organization has decided to remove Thomas “Djoko” Pavoni from the active lineup after 14 months with the team.

In a post on X, KRL reported that Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro will step in as Djoko’s replacement, with the former G2 and Fnatic rifler set to join the team for PGL Cluj-Napoca, which kicks off on February 14.

bodyy became a free agent earlier this week following his departure from Fnatic. The 28-year-old is no stranger to 3DMAX’s core, having previously played alongside Maka, Lucky, and Ex3rcice under HEET.

Meanwhile, Djoko has been part of this lineup for years, competing under DBL Poney, HEET, and finally 3DMAX. However, he was the team’s lowest-rated player over the past six months, which may have factored into the decision to bench him.

Preparing for PGL Cluj-Napoca

3DMAX’s next event will be PGL Cluj-Napoca, which begins on February 14 and will mark bodyy’s first appearance with the team.

The squad is currently ranked inside the top 15 on both HLTV and Valve’s global rankings, with the team reaching the Legends Stage at the Shanghai Major in December.
